Magazine Spread
Editorial Design

This two-page editorial spread is based on the Baskerville typeface expressing the creator, John Baskerville and his contribution to type. The spread was designed based on a grid structure made to highlight the unique aspects of Baskerville such as the history, sizing, weights, numbers and special characters. The magazine outlines the classical, legible and beautiful characteristics of Baskerville. The vintage color scheme was chosen to embody the 1757 elegant type by implementing a color that is associated with timeless and an ancient aesthetic. The spreads were crafted with careful consideration of a layout that prompted readability, legibility and engagement through spacing, kerning, leading and weight.
